The Manheim Borough Police Officers Association is selling T-shirts to benefit retired K-9 Coal’s cancer treatments.
In service from 2000 until his retirement on December 31, 2008 Coal served as a Narcotics Detection Dog in Manheim Borough and assisted local, county and state agencies in Lancaster and surrounding counties. In February 2009 Coal was found to have cancer. Coal’s handler is financially responsible for his cancer treatments and in an effort to lighten this burden, the Officers that worked with Coal have T-shirts for sale. The shirts are available in a variety of colors and are printed on the front, back and sleeve.
